I heard that pickle forks suck, i am replacing them with new units so do i need anything besides a pickle fork. What about if i wasn't replacing them what ball joint separator would you suggest for the dsm? There are so many types...help me

I wouldn't buy one, just rent from Auto Zone or Advance Auto. How many times do you need to use a tool like that? Don't worry about which separator you use if you're going to replace the tie rod ends anyways, just get them apart and remove the old ones.

but i am installing a rear camber kit in my rear upper control arms and i need to have the ball joints intact for that. What tool would keep the boot intact and where can i get it. Can u rent the seperators at autozone or just the pickle forks?
