Stock Turbo problem

I have a stock 98 eclipse GST and its been working fine. Today however the BOV has been making a different sound. Its more of a flushing sound. Its kind of hard to describe normally its a bit more high pitched but now it sounds sort of flat or dull. I also dont even know where it is all located in the car to see if anything is ubstructing it. Any help would be appreciated. If i need a new one how expensive do you think it would be?

Check the vacuum line to the BOV, and the recirculation line from the BOV to the intake for leaks, kinks, or obstructions. A new 1g BOV can be had for under $100 from Slowboy Racing, but check everything out first.

As always check for boost leaks it's a good starting point.

Wow i know nothing about engines. One of the hoses was totally off. That link is great. It feels good to liek fix something on your car yourself. Even if its a small thing like that i still learned where the BOV was located and all that. Thank you.
