Toronto,
I bought the car 1gina2g swapped.
So I wanted to install a new thermostat since I've been told that 170 is below operating temps.
Looking around at the wires, I noticed my car only has two.. One goes to my water temp gauge (aftermarket), and the other was the fan switch and what also feeds the ECU at the same time because my car wouldn't start on a cold day or the fans won't turn on without it plugged in.
Is this an OK setup?
Here's a picture, for clarification, there is a coolent temp switch where the T style plug should be. The left hole where there should be a sensor is blocked off with a screw
EDIT: So reading around apparently one is for the AC which this car doesn't have
Which plug should be for AC then?
One more Q, what gen thermo stat should I be buying?
