i don't know if this is normal..

my cat was so old and rusted that i couldnt get it off so i had to get a mechanic to cut it off and for them to put the new cat on. also needed to replace the parking brake cables, and since the lug nut in the back wheel was stripped, they have to cut it out somehow and may warp my wheel. all this ..they said it takes an hours to work on the cat, an hour for each cable(theres two cables) and then getting the wheel is all going to cost me 300 dollars. is this normal? is that expensive or is it just me?

You could do alot of that yourself and save money but it sounds about right? Little long on the time though, like Splitpi said.

they make adaptors big enough to fit over your lug and help pull it out, hell you can go to lowes or something and pick it up, they are made by IRWIN and it will do just fine, what htey want to do is probably take a freakin torck to your wheel and that is why it may warp. As far as the rest that seems normal

Take the wheel to a tire shop and have them get it off they will probably charge $50 to get it off.
