As of right now i have stock cams.. Want to know what would be best for the setup i have. The car will most likely be driven only on the weekends, but may be takin out more often. Im leaning towards the 280`s .. I will be upgrading to a larger turbo in the future Any info on the positive and negative comparisons would be great. Theres tons of threads about cams but im looking for advice to aid in my particular setup. Thanks

Someone correct me if im wrong but I dont think there is a such thing as 280s.272s would be a good set up for a 50trim.

There is. HKS just came out with them not too long ago. They're pretty radical.

272's
Intake: 10.3mm lift
Exhaust: 9.8mm lift

280's
Intake: 10.8mm lift
Exhaust: 10.2mm lift

If your not too worried about low-end, and idle, then I would say go with the 280s.
fwdeclipse like Derek ( Brute) said HKS came out with them in early 06, they sound like some nasty cams, BC also has a set of 280s, his single spring, and retainer kit is needed to run them, this is mostly said to cover a shops ass that you dont put these aggresive cams in a stock head with 120k on the clock, and expect it to work perfectly. Either cam will work nicely, people take the 272s up to 9.5K, ut the 280s will be better if you want the top-end.

Sorry for the misleading information. I meant 280/280 or 272/272 combo.. Im not too concerned with the low end.. The car isnt drivin much and i figured i might as well just go bigger if im spending the money.. If it will hurt me i will stick with the 272`s

Looking into the BC 280`s for 320 shipped.... Very reasonable price for the pair.. Just curious about the spring and retainer kit that is needed. I have read that the stock springs have been used many times with this combo. Will my valvetrain Crower springs and Titanium retainers hold up fine..or will dual be needed..
