I was at 7-11, i come out to my car, and theres a cloud of white smoke pouring out from under my hood. Turns out the upper hose cracked. Now can i go to autozone or whatever and just pick the hose that will fit my car exactly or will i have to buy some hose and do some cutting? What is the size of that upper hose in case i need to know that?

even if they do not have the correct size of smooth radiator hose you can alwasy buy the flex type and bend it some to make it work....is not the best looking fix in the world but hey at least your car won't go up in smoke

I got mine from AutoZone here in town, so you should be able to get one too. Guess yours was dry rotted, and started to bulge, and thus causing the split.

Will your car over heat if there is a crack in the radiator? Will that allow the water pump to work?

all that will happen is your radiator will leak water, just like if there is a split in your hose it will leak water and once you leak so much you will over heat.

It won't work 100%, and there will be problems with the cooling system. Anything that is broken shouldn't thats it, case closed, they don't put broken parts on cars for a reason. A crack in the radiator could bring way to more problems down the road.

I work at AutoZone, and just be sure to tell them the Eagle Talon , not the Eclipse. I have done alot of research there, and the Eagle pulls up more and the most accurate parts, the Eclipse for some odd reason doesnt have the right parts or is just not filled in properly... Surprisingly when Most of us here go shopping, its always for a 95-99 Eclipse, not Talon, unless specified other than.... Just tell them its for the Year of your car, and the Make is an Eagle Talon, the Turbo model... AWD doesnt matter unless its drivetrain or brake parts.... Trust me on this one...

17.99-22.99 for the Upper, and 19.99 for the Lower, but if it is your Radiator, its going to be... phew... 209.99 for a 1 year warranty, 265.99-334.99 for a Lifetime warrantied one... meaning anything goes wrong, regardless, they will replace it... and I do mean anything, and the coverage is coast to coast on this part.... meaning also that if you bought it in Maine, and are traveling to Utah, and you find an AutoZone there, you can exchange it (If they have it in stock) for no cost to you....
