I think I may have put a small whole in my water pipe with a screwdriver a few days back and now its leaking. Anyone know any kind of product that can seal it up? Or any other suggestions so it will hold up until I can get a new one?

You can try some JBweld over the hole, but if you can, just don't drive the car until you can find a new water pipe.

yeah I think JB weld will hold...my buddy used it on his water pipe when he accidently hammered it too much trying to install a big turbo that wouldn't clear the water pipe.

Like the others said JBWeld, but I would only do this as a temp. fix, then instal a new one. Hey HustlerTalon is that the same friend that was jumping on the exhaust manifold?:)

Does the water pump need to come off when I put in a new one?

There is a lot of debate over this and I have yet to get a concrete answer to the question of fixing a leaking water pump. I haven't fixed mine yet, so I can't tell you for sure. Mine is leaking at the O-Ring where the pipe meets the water pump.

Some say that the turbo and manifold need to come off to get to the bolts that hold the pipe to the block. Others say that you don't have to remove the turbo and manifold and that you can just unbolt the pipe and slide it away from the thermostat housing.

It only leaks a drop every minute or so and I drive the car about 600 miles/year, so I haven't done anything yet. Hopefully I get off my lazy butt and do something about it when I pull the car out of storage next spring.
