Okay guys I did a search megan exhaust. All i could come up with were question about awd exhaust or exhaust on a 1st gen or the thread got closed saying do search . I did go to megan racing website. I recieved conflicting info about the DP it's starts 2.5 inch to 3.0 inch exit and the cat back exhaust says 2.5 inch and 3.0 inch on some models. I know that they sale 3inch on AWD all day but what about FWD. Is Megan exhaust full 3 inch on 2nd gen FWD? It's doesn't make sense to make a DP that exit's 3inch and a 2.5 inch catback exhaust. Help me please

I had a megan dp on my GST, and it was a 2.5" inlet down thru the flex, then opened up to 3", then down to 2.75" where it bolts to the cat-back.
All of megan's dp's are cat eliminators btw.

That's weird there add on there website say's 2.5 inlet and exit 3.0 and I searched this 10 minutes ago did they remake there DP's with different spec's . Also do you have any experience with there exhaust ?

I had an exhaust shop cut my dp just after the hangers, and then had them weld on a 3" flange.
Then I bought a 3" HF Cat, and flanged both ends.
Then I bought a K-teller 3" exhaust piping kit.
Then I had then put that bad ass sounding Megan racing Turbo Muffler that you saw in that link I posted.
My exhaust sounded mean as hell, and it wasn't as loud as an Apexi N1 doing 80 on the freeway.
But, once you mashed the pedal, it got loud and sounded deep.
I'll be installing my Megan DP this coming week on my GSX and I plan on doing the exact same set-up.

It's not quite 3", it's more like 2.79".
I used calipers on it to see how far it necked down.
Here's a link to a pic.
You can clearly see it as I described in the 2nd post of this thread.

The reason it measured that way was probably because you mesured the inner diameter and they referance the outer diameter when they say 3".

I would say to get a definate anwser e-mail them asking your question they won't lie and then you will know for sure.

Hmmm, did you look at the link I posted in post #4.
You can clearly see that the OD of the pipe necks down where the cat-back bolts up to it.

So if I did measure the ID of the pipe, and if it in fact is 3" OD, then that would make the wall thickness over .1" thick.
I don't think so larry...
