just couple noob questions before i start to do my research on what i should do for my car :)

1 what should i be aware of these dsm cars
2 what are the best engine mods you guys think~
3 are these cars premium gas only?
4 what are the size of winter tires for gst stock rims

thanks!

Hey welcome to TEL's. BTW that's talon eclipse lasers. Since a lot of cars here weren't made by DSM, but thats a whole other topic. haha
1) Maintence. First and foremost. Whats your cars condition mileage? You should do a full tune-up and replace any oil leaks. You should also do a intake leak test http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html, and fix any air leaks.
Here's a good maintance list: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=239375
2)Best engine only mods, Would probably be a 6bolt swap, and if you want build it up.
"Bolt-on" mods are a good idea, heres a good palce to start: http://www.dsmtuners.com/tech.php
3) Yes they are, you really shouldnt run otherwise unless your in the middle of nowhere and need gas.
4)205-55R16 I got and recommend goodyear ultra grip ice. They worked great with some chains up in the mountains :thumb:
good luck!

thank you very much guys the maintenance web page is very useful!
im going to bring the car to the mitsu dealership for an oil change, tune up..etc
does any of you guys drive you car turbo eclipse in the snow? does the car handle good

I drive my 1G FWD TSi in the snow on summer tires, and I had to travel 100+ miles per day, and I never got stuck. Had lots of fun in parking lots:D http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=240441, I would say Blizzaks or Graspics, either one is a good snow tire. The one thing you want to watch out for is don't go too fast in the snow, the cars are relativly light, and will "float" across the snow...similar to hydroplaning but in snow, and not so fun on the highway doing 60mph.
