A while back i was keeping an eye on a thread about those dks 272's from ffwd. All i heard was good news but i havent checked on them for a while. What are some of your thoughts on them? Im asking because id rather not have to spend so much extra on HKS if these things are the real deal.

They are the real deal, you can expect nothing less from Darren over at FFWD. They are the exact same as the HKS 272s, except for two things, firstly there is a "D" instead of an "H":), and secondly they are much cheaper.

I've heard nothing but great things about the DKS cams, I just wish I had heard about them before I spent $580 on my HKS's.

i just bought a set of hks 272's and i wish i would have bought the dks cams instead.
Tell me one reason besides the price why you wanted to buy them instead of the HKS's. I bet you know nothing about these cams. I guess you never researched before you bought either?? And i bet you actually never needed these cams, because you are on the stock T25 which chokes at 15psi. There are various manufactures that make cams for our motors, including HKS, "DKS", Web Cams, Comp Cams, Crane Cams, and i bet you never took in consideration of comparing these brands, and choosing from there. Lesson learned, but the hard way. Get the point, do your research before you buy. Im tired of hearing all you newbies "I wish i went with this part" or "I wish i didn't buy off eBay" or "why won't my car run now with with this part installed." IF you would have done some research before you bought it, installed it, you wouldn't be having problems that you are having now.
I'm done bashing now. Im just sick and tired of hearing all this whining all the time. It makes me want to never come back into the Newbie Forum, because this is all I see now. Search, its there for a reason. When you haven't found your answer, then post. But i guarantee the question you're going to ask has been covered numerous times in the past, because we all have been down that road.

Thats the only reason, he probably realized he could have bought the DKSs, and a few other parts for the price of a set of HKSs.

I think everyone has already stated this already there the almost the same exact thing as the hks cam's with not a huge price tag.. you even said it your self.. That's why he wishe's he wanted them..leave it for the moderator's to call him out on it.. most people get just as sick and tired of hearing people raging on other people for silly stuff such as this.. I personally have tried the search fucntion often for easy stuff and nothing comes up..There's a lot of diffrent scenario's and circumstance's people go through so they have to ask.. There's a reason were, newbie's weve never done it before..

These are the cams I'm going to get. I was going to get HKS, but after reading reviews and what not, basically being the same except you pay for both intake and exhaust cams for the price of 1 hks cam. Oh and the already stated it has a "D" instead of "H" and you don't get a cool HKS sticker.

BTW, the HKS sticker you can purchase on EBAY, or go to the flea market and have one of those sticker stands make one for you, as many as you want and as big as you want, for cheap. Probably be able buy hundred with the money you save. :p

Off the topic a little, But here it goes some questions like this need to be asked 2,3,4or more times as new input is always coming in on new parts and how they preformed. You would hate to buy a part that is the same as a name brand but alot less money, and come to find out that the reason that it is alot less is the quality of material or workmanship.
After market parts are technology, And technology is moving faster than most of us can keep up, And some of it out dates faster than that. just my 2 cents

Hey bro you must feel like your 8 feet tall now that you talked all that trash. Your the one that needs to be choked. how the hell do you know what i have in my car. just because my profile say's i ran a 14.6 on a t-25 doesnt mean that my car has a t25 on it anymore. i wish people like you who think they know everything would shut your face, plain and simple. i bought my cams from a buddy for 180 for the set. lets just say i caught a deal. Another things nothing is wrong with my car, i dont have any problems, i dont know where you got that from.
So tell me then, if you got these for $180, then why did you say you wished you didnt buy them, and bought the DKS cams, which in the end would cost you more??? And i never said nothing was wrong with your car, read my statement again. I said I'm sick and tired of coming onto this forum and reading all about you newbies crying about how the wish they never bought this or installed it or why wont my car run now etc.... I never once said anything about your car. I said that you are not getting the full potential of those cams on your T25.

+1...i don't agree with how you bash dsm'ers. Angry or not, i would never say any of that. We may have a traitor in our midst.

On topic: The ffwd 272's are well worth the money. It is a mirror image grind of the hks cams. They say they are cheaper because they do not have the genuine hks name, And they do not hafto be imported from where ever they have them made. I loved mine, MANY people have them.

obviously i dont have a t25 anymore, and the point is i got them from a friend with no warrenty for 180 when i could have bought a brand new set with a warrenty for 350.

It would be the same results as HKS 272's and FP2's. Somebody(might've been FP) tested them back to back and they made the same power until higher RPM's then the FP2's made more power. That was before the FP2x's were out.
