Grounding after 1g swap

I just swapped over to a 1g head. i was wondering if the coilpack has to be grounded to the Intake mani or any other of the sensors half to be grounded there as well. i did away with my map sensor (no egr). ANy help would be appriciated.

not sure if you need to ground it...when i had a 1g head on, i bolted the coilpack to the top right corner of the intake manifold. I used the 2g bracket but cut it and bent the ear so the coilpack fit in there nicely. Everything on my car worked fine, and all sensors were plugged in, but all emissions were gone.
