First off-- i have no tuning capabilities, so i am going on pure feeling for my knock situation.

I think i have some knock in the higher RPM's, it feels like little blurps in the entire car. Could i be experiencing phantom knock? or is this real knock?

timing is good, car has been completely tuned up. only running around 12-13 psi

93 octane

anyone's personal experience? anyones thoughts on how to clear this issue?

maybe a colder spark plug? seafoam?

thanks, -ted

There's really no remedies anyone should suggest since without a logger of some sort there's just no way to know what's going on inside your engine. :nono: Try to save up for a logger system - the palm & logger cable can be found on ebay pretty cheap & the software is available free (I use 1 of the freeware versions - MMCD - & it works great). If you can't buy a logger, try to search for a local DSM club & see if there's someone near you who has 1 you can borrow.

In the meantime, have you done a boost leak test? If not, that would be a really good place to start to make sure everything is running tip top. :thumb: If you're unfamiliar with the VFAQ site, check it out - there's info there on how to make a leak tester & gobs of other very useful info, too. www.vfaq.com
