Would a 2 inch drop be too much on stock struts? and if so what would be a good set of struts for this drop?

On the worn out, old stock struts, any drop would seriously reduce their life. For this reason, you should consider doing the shocks and struts all at the same time. Do you realize how much a 2" drop is? I mean, it's pretty huge. Are you doing this just for looks?

Get Koni yellows if you plan to drop it that much. The adjustable ones, otherwise you're wasting your time unless you get a full coilover setup. The struts will get worn out quick. And make SURE you have camber kits in front and back otherwise you'll go thru tires about once a month.

im doing it for looks and a little better grip in the turns. I'm not sure if the 2.0 1g is bad as the 1.8 in the turns since i havent had the chance to test it out yet but my 1.8 kinda sucked. I'm also out for the looks too. I do plan on running at the track so a reduce in wheel hop would probably help me out. I was thinking about kyb struts since i seen them pretty affordable on ebay.

Don't go with KYB's or you'll be wasting your money. The Koni yellow's have a shorter travel than the KYB's.....which won't hold up to a 2 inch drop. The Koni's are more expensive but do it once or do it a few times and end up paying even more.

cool maybe i'll just hold off on lowering for a couple months.. or maybe something less aggressive like eibach sportlines?

Sportlines aren't considered "less aggressive". Maybe the Prokit's I believe. I have Sportlines with Koni's and although the Sportlines look good on some people's cars, it didn't lower it enough for me. All I can say is to do some searching. I'm too tired at the moment otherwise I'd do some for ya. But I've read many post saying that KYB's and Sportlines will blow those struts as well.

I "think" I bought mine from www.tirerack.com if I remember correctly. They had the best prices I could find if that helps any.

thanks i think im gonna just wait - i didnt wanna spend anymore than 400 if i had to buy struts too. I'm more interested in this turbo project! LOL
