not new to DSM, but new to 1g's

Ok, I am very knowledgable about 2g, but I just got my 1st 1g, and It is completely stock, just a replacement K&N filter. Anyways, I realized that even at redline, my BOV doesnt blow off at all, at least I cant hear- my 2g did when it was stock, but why doesnt my 1g, my friends GVR-4 blows off, and its stock!- I boost leak tested and it held 19 psi perfectly! what else could cause this

my 1g isn't as loud as my 2g, both stock

you can make it louder though, and more importantly faster.. take out the maf and hack it, what really makes the sound difference is removing the star silencer.. and do the other stuff while in there.. it's all in the tech section.. along with the bcs restricter removal I noticed a pretty good difference in sound and response, and I never had a boost gauge until I already removed the bcs restricter.. but completly stock my 1g boosts 14-15 psi.. need to make my 2g faster, the 1g still owns it stock.
