MY PROBLEM IS AFTER RECEIVING MY JDM SPECIAL THAT GAVE ME A JAMES BOND LIKE SMOKE SCREEN, I'VE CHANGED THE HEAD GASKET PUT IN NEW BOLTS, AND STILL HAVE SMOKE SCREEN. I WAS WONDERING COULD MY TURBO BE CAUSING THIS? THE COOLANT TEMP IS IN RANGE AND COMPRESSION IS GOOD.:beatentodeath:

10minutequarter: HAH! Awesome.

pikepeaktalon: I think I know what's wrong with your car. First off follow 10minutequarter's advice so we can read your stuff without wincing. Then go and post in the newbie forum. After you do that, you should get your car running again!

Seriously, when I see it show up there I'll definitely take a look. But not in here.

a

NO PROBLEM YOU KNOW WE LIVE FOR THINGS LIKE THIS. LIKE ONE TIME MY CAT GOT STUCK IN A TREE SO I HAD TO CLIMB IT TO GET IT OUT. MAN THAT CAT SURE WAS HAPPY.

OR THAT TIME WITH THE FAIRY SHRIMP...

Even though it's in the wrong place and in caps (oh my god), we can still give him an answer. The thread can be moved at a later time.

Yes, the turbo can produce a "smoke screen" if the seals are leaking bad enough.

You could have possibly damaged the head gasket or put it on backward, hard to do, but I've seen worse. Valve stem seals could be totally shot, but you should have noticed something before they got that far along.

My vote is for the turbo going out. Does the smoke burn off by any chance? Like if you run it for 10 minutes or so, does it stop smoking or at least get thinner? If it burns off, it's probably stem seals, like Jim said. If not, I'd vote for the turbo.

Sorry, I was just confused by this part. And then the all caps thing and it just went downhill from there. Anyway. yeah start with the turbo then go from there.

Sorry it took so long to get back. I pulled my down pipe and found that it was full of oil. So i took th turbo off and had oil leaking out the turbine housing on the exaust side.

Thank guys. I installed another turbo today. Do anyone Know where i could get it rebuilt, or do you think it might be better to get another unit????

but i do know through my father a friend of his whose wife owns a turbo company who rebuilds them and sells rebuild supplies for car, heavy machinery, just let me know if you are interested.
