ok i know if you get a thinner head gasket it will raise your comp. a little but my question is is it compatible with these engines or will i get valve slap also what is the stock width of them.

i shouldnt, but you shouldnt at all. I would recomend the mitsunishi MLS head gasket, i have it combined with arp head studs and have taken my car up to 30 psi no problems!

You won't find enough difference in DSM gaskets to have a real-world effect on CR.

Valves don't "slap", pistons do. Cam and crank timing assure that there is no valve-to-piston contact. Again, the head gasket won't make a difference.
