I have searched and maybe I am typing in the worst keyword searches or what, but I cannot seem to find any 2ga (1995-1996) Mitsubishi Eclipse or Eagle Talon's with a FMIC's. I have the SSAutochrome FMIC and I'm getting ready to put it on. I'd like to see how some people went about cutting their bumpers. Just post a quick picture, explanation or links. Thanks guys.

Wow. I can't believe the car used to look like this.

^Your car looks so happy in that picture.ROFL

I'll post up a pic of mine when I get home. I cut the crap out of the upper portion of my bumper. Some people say it looks retarded, others say it looks badass. I think it looks stupid, but only because my car looks like a beat up piece of crap to begin with. Who cares about looks, I wasn't about to have half my intercooler being denied air up in my bumper.

Either way, people are breaking their neaks to look at it everywhere I go.

Smiling with braces LOL

Kinda reminds me of the first debut of the neon in a commercial where all it showed was the face and it said "hi". LOL

Tranceman, that is my exact car. How did you cut the bumper for it to fit so well. We cut some of it up but we were losing daylight so we fashioned the bumper up with zipties for now......it does not look bad at all but it was a damn tight fit. Had to push my automatic dipsitck tube over like no other. The coupler that goes on the intake side, was hard as hell to get on. Had to loosen the radiatior. I didnt even use all the pipes and couplers....Ill post some pics of the way we did it. Thanks guys, i do feel retarded however for the search.

I used a Dremel with about 10 cutoff wheels to cut the bumper, and some patience. The Dremel actually cut thru the bumper cover pretty easily, but was really stinky (burning plastic)and kept breaking the cutoff wheels since they are so flimsy. I started by taking about 2 inches off the smiley face all the way around on the inside. Did a test fit, and then trimmed a little more, using a permanent marker line as my guide.. I ended taking off the most material around the outer edges where the IC endtank pipes come out. The pipe touches the front bumper cover, but there is still plenty of material left to keep it from being flimsy.

heres the low-low fmic\

I no longer run that IC setup as the piping hung low and I don't think it was very efficient. It was an Isuzu NPR IC with piping that I made.

The guys with the SSAC FMIC kit. How did your pipes fit. I had to end up modifying the piping and didnt even use a few couplers and one pipe. Right now I keep blowing off the couplers on the throttle body side. Wish I could boost with my nice new FMIC but we'll see.

They fit Okay to start with, but I ended up buying a longer coupler to go between the TB elbow and the BOV pipe. That allowed me to snug everything up enough so I dont have leaks any more. As for the pipes, I didnt use the 90* pipe that comes with the kit. I bought a 90* coupler that allowed me to connect my J pipe to the LICP.

Yea sounds about the same for me. I actually cut the stock hose from the TB elbow to the plastic upper ic pipe. I cut that in a 90* and thats what i used in that one spot. I need a longer coupler for the same area too between the bov pipe and tb pipe. I keep blowing that off.

I went with a 6" long coupler and that did me just fine. I could have probably gotten away with a 5 or 4.5 but wanted to be sure it would never blow off.
