just replaced the half-circle, spark plug and valve cover gasket. Question is the old ones looked in good shape, just had oil on them, would a bad old valve cover gasket have obvious wear and tear to them or do they all look brand new? the last owner told me he replaced all the gaskets and tbelt and water pump, but I had a lot of oil on center spark plug galley. After replaced gaskets I'm thinking it could coming from the oil cap and leaking down. Also another thing, the Tbelt looks brand new, teeth are perfect. The motor was rebuilt recently and in total after it was rebuilt and me having it, it has probably 5k miles on it max. Would it be ok to reuse when I do my tbelt job? I'm going to replacing all the tensioners and remov. bal shafts, should I just go ahead and spent extra bucks for new tbelt and water pump? Seeing how the valve cover gaskets were good could I trust in other parts?

I know it's a stupid question but I need some guidance from dsmers:p

Oil ON the valve cover is 99% from the oil cap. If you have oil running down the head or seeping into the spark plug wells themselves, than it is most likely the valve cover gaskets.

Don't reuse anything when doing a timing belt job unless you are positive they are brand new. I'd do the water pump and front case if you aren't sure they are new (receipts from the previous owner), as you can't really tell just by looking as you can with the belt.
