i have a complete stock 90 eagle talon tsi awd
the #1 cylinder injector is not firing
when at idle the car runs fine with no misfire but when i give it gas it begins to run on three cylinders (4,3, &2)
the new parts installed
4 new plugs and plug wires
4 new but used injectors that are good for a fact
A new coil
and the car is running really rich and the bov is not vented and it is a stock car, the ecu works because i hear it click and all of the gauges do work

What could be my problem??

thanks
Ray

see i had the car running perfect for a day and the new coil i bought went bad so i exchanged it for another one and it is putting spark out fine. but the clip was kind of chipped then too. another thing is when the car gets at normal temp it starts to run on 2cyl (feels like it, havent had the time to get under the hood when it runs rough like that) bbut could that clip effect me that bad? can i get the new assembly at my local parts store? and why would i be running so rich?

When the #1 injecotr cuts out (if you can) pop the hood and wiggle the corresponding injector plug to see if it comes back to life. If you have a datalogger, you will likely get a CEL for the Injector Driver.

It is also possible that there is damage to the ECU (capaciter leaks) that when the board heats up could cause intermittant failures to the injector drivers :dsm:

with out taking out the ecu and prying it open is there a way i could find out if it is a bad ecu? could any of these problems be a cam angle sensor, MAF/MAS, or a crank angle sensor.. and im not throwing any check engine lights either

so does running rich have anything to do with this problem when im only getting three cylinders to fire the injectors?
