alright i want to upgrade my exhaust manifold but don't know which one to get. Has anyone have any personal experience with exhaust manifolds from ebay? I read a couple of threads on some ebay manifolds but not too helpful. I have a Hahn racecraft super 16g turbo with an internal wastegate so I am looking for a manifold without a wastegate flange. will an evo manifold work?

here are a couple of links to some that look interesting.

I was also looking into some pacesetter and dnp manifolds, but if i can get a good or same quality manifold for a cheaper price than some big name brands.

thanks

The EVO manifold will not work because they use a divided flange turbine housing. As far as Ebay manifolds go they seem to be hit or miss on quality but most people will tell you to stay away. Some of the manifold's you listed are T3 flanged and one was Mitsu flanged ,so which one do you need?

As far as having an external wastegate flange you can always fab up a plate to block it off until you decied to upgrade.

Dnp's have a good reputation for the most part but a lot of people will also tell you that on a daily driver you should stick to a cast manifold like a Turbonetics or a Treadstone from ebay.

This decision is really up to personal preference.

Port your 2G manifold and call it a day. It flows more than enough for big power and it won't have a tendency to crack like some tubular headers do. Keep in mind that if you do buy an ebay tubular, most of these are hit or miss. You could end up with a decent piece or something that falls apart after ten heat cycles.

Speaking of heat cycles, these really take their toll on a header so they're not highly reommended for a daily driver.

Hope that helps,

Andy
