Oil on the back of my car.

Ive noticed that my car smokes sometime like when start up it smokes blue and there is oil speckles on the back of my car is this from my turbo it has shaft play up and down? Is it new turbo time?

yes, try a rebuild and check on the rest of the car to see if anything needs fixed.

Ive already contacted a guy about a turbo I know the only other oil leak is on the valve cover... I really noticed the smoking this morning when I started it up but after I started it stopped but I think it does it when im driving in high rpms my motor only has 130k so I dont think its the rings.

If it is there on start-up, but goes away, it's not the turbo. The turbo would make it smoke all the time, and worse under load and boosting. Your vavle stem seals are going to need a replacing.

Its there more than just starting up but I cant see it my sister was behind me the other day and she says it smoke when I get on it also I found oil in my intake pipe.

Oh... Well then start doing some tests... Compression, leak down, etc.

Do the compression test (2nd one above) first. If you get inconsistent numbers (within 5 or so) do the leakdown to pinpoint exactly what's wrong.

Well I dont have any of those tools to perform those tests but its the smoking is constant now basically and there is alot of black soot around the housing of the turbo. It also sounds like a bottle rocket when I let of the gas if that means anything.

Compression testers are like $10-20 at your local auto parts store. I suggest you invest in one. You'll use it. Is the soot on the inside of the housing or the outside? Is there anyway you can post a picture or two?

if ## blowin blue smoke then ## probably burning oil. yes probably time for a new turbo

Sorry cant get any pics camera is lost anyways I was under my car the other day and saw oil all around the of the turbo housing.
