</center> i have checked all the local stores and everyone is telling me they have no clue what it is. its goes from the oil filter housing to the turbo. it is some sort or oil feed line but thats not enough for some stores.

Most DSM's feed from the cylinder head and not the housing. If its coming from the housing most likely its an aftermarket force fed line and they will never know what your talking about. A lot of shops sell SS braided line kits and it will replace that part you have. Im guessing its a custom line.

My 95 TSi is fed from the oil filter housing. I will look this up on CAPS when I get home in half an hour for you.

All 2g turbos have the oil feed from the housing.

Either go to the dealer and get a replacement turbo oil feed line or look at the vendors on here and order a replacement braided oil feed line. General auto parts stores are not going to carry it.

the 1g feeds from head and the 2g feeds from the filter housing, ill try to get you a part number but your are better off just buying one from extreme psi or something

(edit) looks like you guys beat me to the punch, i will look it up anyway though.

hey thanks man i'll give that a try. i called mitsubishi and they told me that they don't carry that part and that it varries. 95 and under get a diffrent part then the 95 and up. they also said they would have to special order it for 33$. does that sound right?

sounds like a good deal to me.
Us 95s have lots of fun parts. I just use my VIN when looking the parts up.
You should look into the Braided upgrade that people are talking about.

MR299881 this is the part that comes from the housing which appears to be in your hand
MR299880 this is the 2nd (upper) half that goes into the turbo
http://www.extremepsi.com/store/customer/product.php?productid=17334&cat=336&page=1 this is the braided stainless line for $40 from extreme psi. Im not sure of the price from the dealership as they are the only ones that have access to that but $33 doesnt sound bad.

yea, but i have a JDM 6 bolt in my car. i really need this part ASAP but i guess i'll jus have to order it. you guys have been very helpful and quick, just the way i like my women :sneaky:

Just call sbr and tell them you body, engine(6or7 bolt), and what turbo you have and they will fix you up. Probably end up being cheaper than going to the dealer.

since i have the bottom half, does it matter which one i get? im asking because im getting a 14b and plan on installing it on wednesday. will i need a whole new line?

There are a lot of good ideas here for alternatives to the stock line, but be cautious when ordering an aftermarket replacement. Many braided lines, such as RRE's, are designed for an MHI center housing. Your T25 has a different size oil feed hole, and as 92awddsm pointed out, you should specify your turbo when ordering a replacement.

Good luck.

EDIT: A 14B is an MHI turbo, and you can use many of the aftermarket lines for it. An OEM line, however, will not work in this case.

wow, i didnt know that. i love this website! since im installing a 14b, i might as well order SS one for the 14b. is that complete line off of the extreme psi website, or just half of it?

This is correct. The stock feed line for a 2g will not work with a 14b, 16g, or any other mhi variants. You will have to buy an aftermarket line regardless unless you stick with the t25,28,etc.

ok now i get it. thank you for helping a newbie out. this is my 2nd dsm, and so far hasnt been to kind to me. i guess thats what i get for taking it on a 1500 mile hike
