1G BOV help

I have a 1991 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD. I recently cleaned out all of my intercooler piping and intake since i just got the car, and i never really heard the BOV until after that. The recirculator hose was a little kinked and i fixed it, and the bov sounded like it fluttered like the stock bov on an evo. Now it doesnt make that sound anymore, and its really not that loud like the one on the evo. im running 10 psi, on a big 16g, i want to know how i can get that sound back, and how to make the stock flutter louder. Any suggestions?

Think of the whole intake as a wind instrument. It'll change sound every time you take it apart and re-assmble it. Trying to find a certain sound is just about impossible.

I was also looking around online and found out that the flutter can be bad for the turbo, i fixed the kink on the recirculation hose, and that may have fixed it. Thanks Defiant!

Fixing the flutter was a good thing. If you want to change the sound, you can try making a recirc tube with copper pipe and radiator hose. I've seen it done before although I've never heard one in person.

thanks andy! i need to replace the hard piping from the intake and the bov route. i still have the stock stuff, that could be another good contributor to it not sounding so loud.

No problem. If you get a chance to record a sound clip, post one up. I still have a soft recirc tube, but my 1G (crushed) feeds into a Dejon intake and makes substantial noise. It actually whistles and flutters like an SSQV.
