Heres the deal, I replaced a shot 14b with another 14b. Turbo has been off of car for a couple months. When I put the intake pipe on the compressor inlet, it fits very loose, even when the factory clamp is tightened all the way. How is this possible? If i remember right, the intake pipe was tight when i took it apart the first time. Does the rubber swell from contact with oil or other substances? Is this a common problem?

Yeah that little rubber sleeve is very important. If your intake pipe fit snug before you took it off, then the rubber sleeve might be on the old turbo or maybe it fell on the ground somewhere when you pulled it off.
