There the problem. The first part of this week I did my brakes on my 95 gst. New rotors and pads all the way around. After resetting everything I started up the car and now the brake light stays on. The brake resivoir is full, the brakes are not spungy and the ebrake releases just fine. What might it be.

The ABS light and the BRAKE light are separate indicators.
The BRAKE light will show low fluid level (pull the cap and actually check, as the resevoir lid has a rubber diaphragm under it which will mask the level shown through the translucent resevoir body), and will also be on when the parking brake is engaged (check the parking brake switch position).

Just want to double check that you are referring to the actual "brake" light and not the ABS. If it were ABS, you may have knocked the cable going to the wheel loose.

Well if it is the ABS light it should illuminate as follows.

1. When the ignition switch is turned to "ON", the ABS warning
light flashes 4 times during a 0.6 to 0.8 second period
and then the light switches off.
2. When the ignition switch is turned to "START", the ABS
warning light remains illuminated.
3. When the ignition switch is turned back to the "ON", the
ABS warning light flashes 4 times and then the light stays
switched off.
4. If the illumination is other than the above, check the diagnostic
trouble codes.

The ABS consists of wheel speed sensors, stop
light switch, hydraulic unit and the ABS-ECU. If
a problem occurs in the system, the malfunctioning
system can be identified by DTC.

It can also mean that the little rubber cap on the inside of the brake fluid res. is just fitted wrong. Open it up, push the rubber cap up so it is fitting snugly but not crushed & put it back on.

It isn't the ABS light, even thought it is on too, and I know the resivor is full so I will check the cap and the ebrake switch position and get back to you guys. thanks

So it turn out that there was a bad connection between the battery and the alternator. I had checked the other things and had no luck, but then later that night when I was driving home the battery light came onand none of my power windows, locks, seat, and radio would work. So I checked all of the connections to the battery and I found a loose nut. After fixing that everything was fine again. Thanks for all your help guys.
