okay guys. I dont want to sound like really cheap. but i was just woundering. My dad owns a metal shop. and he Has made me a roll cage and stuff. but i was woundering about my exhaust. i took it off resently. and i was looking at it. its still in pretty good shape. but it needs to be bigger for me to run turbo. I was woundering if its a good idea or a bad idea but what if i was to cut my exhaust. and tac in some more metel, make it bigger. weld it. and stick it back under the car. bad idea?or what. i just need to know. ### its not that hard for me to do, i just dont know if i should do it. i have a new muffler coming apexi n1. and yeah. just wanted to know if my stock exhaust could be cut and fab'd. thanks.

I got 3inch done on mine for 100 bucks. From dp back. Just bought a muffler and local shop put it all on for me. Easy way to go. But if thats what your saying your going to do is from dp it should be fine.

Just take off your stock exhaust and use that as a guide to make a new exhaust. Use 3" tubing, and just have bends where you see them on the stock exhaust.

Wanna make me one while you're at it? I'll give you a dollar...

I wouldn't try to modify the stock exhaust... sounds like a waste of time. I'm with Brute, use the stock exhaust for help with sizing/fitment, but other than that start from scratch.

okay guys. here's the thing. i got the tubing. and i got my exhaust started. umm... if you want one. i need some cash for me. plus some for the suplies. umm.. i'll get price's to you asap. i'm located in cincy. ohio. so whatever shipping cost's you gotta pay. i'm gonna ask 150 bucks. for supplies. plus you gotta pay shipping.

what are the specs on the tsi? is that the awd?

i'm going 3 1/2 inch's on mine plus an apexi n1 exhaust muffler. thanks guys.

Try to put in a couple flanges. Like after the downpipe (before the cat), then after the cat. Whoever made mine just made the downpipe, flex section, cat, catback, and muffler all one piece. It sounds good, but trust me, it sucks.

everything on the new exhaust is exactly the same as the old exhaust just bigger. it's looking good. i'll get pic's up asap.
