So today i pulled my balance shafts and replaced them with the eliminator kit. Everything in that department went smooth. When i went to put the timing belt on, i noticed few things. First, the idler bearing i bought doesn't fit, the old one had the mounting bolt almost flush with the outside of the bearing, the new one is recessed into the bearing, so the bolt i have is too long. So i'm stuck here, as well as the arm that the tensioner sits on. That has a grove wore into it, and i was wondering where can i get a new one?? I've looked everywhere and can't locate one.
Also my timing cover is shot.....the guy who owned it before me put a new timing belt on....what a joke....anyway he put like 3 bolts that hold the cover on and it wasn't flush with the block so the belts and pulleys wore some groves in it and now its junk. Anyone know where i can get a used one? Slowboy wants $100 for a new one, i'm cheap and not spending that much for one.
Also, last thing. I need a part number for the 1g intake manifold gasket. I took mine off thinking it was a metal one but its a cheap-o felpro that fell apart on me.
Can anyone help me out here? This car is starting to become my savings account really quick.....:dsm: for ya:thumb:

THANK YOU!!!! This is much needed....definatly bookmarking this page. Awesome, this is what i needed. Thank you for the fast reply.

About the bolt on the idler, if you check JNZtuning, they sell the shorter bolt that the 90's use. You can also get pretty much everything else you need from them... likely cheaper than mitsuparts. I'd say check the classifieds for the timing cover, they seem to be a frequent item from part-outs and such.
