help! check light engine comes on, stutters, then dies

Im not sure what this may be....i was thinking MAF related but.... After driving for about 10-15miles on a warm day my car will stutter fairly bad, the check engine light will come on, then die if im not giving it gas. Then when i turn it over, big puffs of smoke pour out of the exhaust and takes a good 10 seconds to start. So something is making it run extremely rich, and im assuming its heat related because i can drive 30+miles at night when its much cooler with not problems at all....any help is much appreciated thanks

Get a code puller and find out what error code the ecu is triggering.

Actually it starts with filling in their profile so people know what car being refered to since we might have to tell how to pull the code.
