Removing thedDipstick tube??

I'm tearing down a motor to take it to the machine shop but can't get the dipstick tube out. It just kinda spins around and doesn't want to pull out. Am I missing something here or do I just need to pull harder???

Pull harder. The only thing holding the tube in the block is an o-ring on the bottom and the bolt right below the water pipe. Since it spins, I am assuming that you have already removed the bolt.

I got it out but I nearly smashed myself in the face with it when it let go! Thanks guys!
