does anyone know where i could find a brand new nvt350 transmission? i either have to buy a new transmission or rebuild the one that ive got. Does anyone have any suggestions on which i should do? I noticed on a website it mentioned something about a "final drive" gear in a specifications chart. does this mean that some of these transmissions, maybe in another type of car came with 6 speeds? if anyone has any suggestoins or knows where i could find this transmission, please let me know:dsm: .

try your local junk yards. i had to replace some syncro in my 95 and i could not get them from my dealer with out buying the hole output shaft. some parts are just to dam expensive and not worth fixing.if you can find one cheap enough go that route or buy re-man.

Dealership will proably sell you a reman at least thats what ford does with older vehicles like my SHO. I work at a Toyota/Buick dealer and thats usually what we do also, But mitsu could be different.

I wouldnt even bother with the autozone/advanced auto ones as they are usually just as much if not more and if your gonna spend that much go oem

Your best bet would be to pull the transmission yourself and take it to a shop to have them rebuild it, and re-install it yourself. That's what I did and the standard rebuild only cost $500.

There used to be a company on Ebay carrying remanufactured NVT-350's for around $900, but I couldn't find them just now.
