Im going with a new turbo setup in about 2 weeks and money is tight right now exspecially after crashing and fixing my car but im going with a big 16g and a tubular manifold and right now im still on stock 450's and im maxing them out with the 14b that im running right now... basically i need 550's or better and im looking for the cheapest way to do it... is there any car truck anything that i could look for injectors off of that i could put in my 2g... this may sound like a crazy question but ive heard of some pretty crazy stuff as far as injectors go and im on a really tight budget right now... and theres no way in hell i can run my 16g on my 450 i know this already... so any help with this would be appreciated thanks guys let me know what you think...

Thanks DSMtuners for the space...:thumb:

If you're goig to max out your 16G or cam it, I would recommend 650's so that you have extra headroom to play with. An AFPR may not be a bad idea as well since it'll offer you additional tuning room. You can basically buy the 650's now and have plenty of injector or buy the 550's and perhaps need an upgrade later on.

For inexpensive injectors, search our classified's section and see what you can find.

Good luck.

are you getting the turbo/ manifold together used or something. Another approach could be going with the 16g of your choice. Using your ported 2g manifold and install kit but get new gaskets, and NEW 660s or similar. and it would still be cheaper than a new turbo/ tubular manifold (of decent build quality). I have seen a few people run into problems with used injectors ect. So if you decide to go this route atleast clean them before using them and replace all 8 orings when swapping the injectors.

Also what are you going to use to compinsate for the larger injectors? I have tuned 660s with a SAFC but it is a little harder to keep good O2 and timing in control. Looking at your profile I do not see any tuning/ logging equipment. Keep this in mind. Happy boosting.

Thanks guys for your help and Andy you defanately opened my eyes to the 650's ### i was defanately not thinking straight ### cams and cam gears are my next step after i get this 16g setup on... and spoolup i already have the tubular manifold and big 16g so its out of the question not going with the tubular and going with injectors instead... and by the way i spoolup i use my afc to tune with... but thanks guys for your help i am taking everything that was said into consideration... thanks again...

don't know if 560's would be too small for your goal, but the stock 560cc injectors off of an EVO VIII go for relatively cheap on ebay or EVO forum classifieds like www.evolutionm.net

i've seen the EVO guys let them go for less than $100 (in the past) on the forums and around $125-$150 on ebay.

what kind of pump gas are you running? i pump 93 octane gas and take my FP Big 28 to 18 psi on stock 450's.....

take a look at this chart from RRE (half-way down the page):

Brian,

I'm glad that was helpful. I only mention using larger injectors now because the airflow demands from cams will make it tough for 550's to keep a reasonable IDC. I know this because I maxed mine as soon as I added the Comps. What fixed my issue was the addition of an AFPR and a 255HP. I see that you already have the pump so you should be good to go and the AFPR will give you enough tuning room on 650's to support a 20G or even something as large as an FP Green or 50 trim variant.

Good luck getting everything back together and let us know how it goes.

Andy
