As I've posted several times, the VFAQ is wrong for 1Gs and completely off base for a 2G.

2G's get the TPS adjusted by where the internal IPS switches when you have a feeler gauge between the stop screw and the pulley.
If the TPS voltage changes smoothly even as you describe it's likely good and something else is causing the throttle to move, If the output is spikey then the TPS may be worn out.
