No. This isn't a 1:1 FPR. Meaning it stays at a constant fuel pressure instead of increasing 1psi for every lb. of boost.

Hmm maybe so? But couldn't you adj. it to your needs? I need one to get my car tuned and I don't have an extra 175 to throw around...

No matter how you set this FPR you will either be to lean, or to rich. Its a losing situation. Save up the extra cash and do it right the first time. There are a few bolt on regulators or the universal Aeromotives. I personally love the Aeromotive ones. I run part # 13109

That FPR does reference boost, and will give you increased pressure with boost. I have one installed on mine and it seems to work fine. I will probably upgrade it at some point but it seems to be working fine for now. You should be fine with that FPR if it is all you can afford right now :)

Just wondering... Becuase my mods are td06h 20g, 255lph, 560's, 3" turbo back, fmic, and intake. I really need to get it tuned and I heard it would be hard as hell to get tuned without one. Do I need a FPR or an AFPR?

They are the same. FPR is Fuel Pressure Regulator and AFPR is Aeromotive Fuel Pressure Regulator. I just asked Jon at SBR and he said the Megan one they carry is a 1:1 FPR. So it should increase fuel pressure with boost.

LOL

It is actually Adjustable not just Aeromotive, but I am just busting balls.

You NEED one that has a 1:1 rising rate. These are just numbers so I don't want anyone getting bent out of shape.

Say you run 10 psi fuel pressure and have the boost set at 20 psi. The rising rate will up the pressure from 10 psi to 30 psi as your boost increases. If it doesn't do that your car will run very lean. If someone says they have one and it is rising rate then by all means post up a pic of your AFPR.

If you look at the home page the featured product just happens to be an AFPR for 155.00. It is the one I just bought and it looks awesome.

Adjustable. ;)

Anyways, like said above, you NEED a 1:1 rising rate regulator or your car will be very hard to tune.

Don't point fingure's at me LOL. Jon said it wasn't then double checked and said it was LOL. And I meant to type adjustable I don't know why I said Aeromotive. They are rising rate but are a PITA to install I guess.

Using me to try get rep points huh? :tease: Yes, the Megan is a 1:1 rising rate. It is also adjustable. In my personal opinion I will never give up the Aeromotive. This has tested true to me and I know it works. As for the Megan, only time will tell. It has not been out long enough but so far so good. :thumb:

I think it will work fine. Megan has been putting out some pretty good stuff ever since they started on eBay and now are a distributor. I might buy it if I get another DSM.

:sighs: I think I may give it a whirl.... Im short cash and I NEED one. I just don't have the money to go out and throw 150 for an Aeromotive.....

Jon, Does the Megan come with EVERYTHING needed to hook it up and it be ready to go?

This is a true bolt on and the only other part you will need is gauge. You also may need to slightly grind a bit of the rail to get it to slide on. When I say slight I mean just a hair. It is more expensive that the Megan, but it is a proven part.

I got mine of Ebay for 140.00 shipped to my door and spent 20.00 for a gauge and it was on in a matter of minutes.

Does it come with the lines and everything? Where did you get your gauge from?-

You don't need anyline. It bolts right to the end of the rail and the stock return line slide over the fitting. I just got a normal Jegs gauge.

I got the white face 0-100 psi for 15.99.

Not sure about the 2G's but I had to get a 90 elbow for the guage itself .90 at Ace hardware.

Here are some pics of mine.I have to mess with the gauge a bit as I don't like the angle of it.

I just got the Megan from Slowboy the other day(My second order from them and shipping and service have been great). I suggest you find an alternative rail adapter, than the one included. The one provided does not extend into the rail like the stock regulator. I tried my best, even got a new o-ring, but it kept shooting out gas. Now I'm waiting on some fittings to make it work. Maybe they can come up with an install kit to make it easier.

Depends on your definition of everything. Does it come with enough to do it? Yes, but this depends on where you mount it. Here is a picture of the regulator and what it comes with.

How is this everything? I am fairly certain there is virtually no way to have a tight seal without having a male insert with an O-ring like the stock fpr. I ordered a 25 dollar fitting that was recommended to me by Megan to find out that it needed -6AN adapted hoses . So I came up with my own fitting that I had to fabricate to allow for a hose and clamp. I searched for weeks and found no substitute for what I had to eventually fabricate on my own :notgood:. I'm having a hard time believing that this kit is compatible with turbo DSMs. Anybody have any information that may change my mind?

I just heard on Talk that you need a -6an return fitting and it would bolt up and work fine?

I simply tapped the fuel rail with a 5/8" I think and screwed a fitting into it, put a barbed fitting on that and ran fuel line it the actual afpr. I have had good experience with the regulator as far as performance goes but the guage needs to be replaced, as it is junk. Mne broke within the week

Import Evolution has the fiitings you need. I ordered the rail adaptor and a 90 barb fitting for $40 shipped. They are not listed on their site, but you can contact them and they will help you out.
