Can anyone help? [92 awd engine and drivetrain into 90 n/t body]

i would say that it would fit into a n/t shell as long as it was a 2.0. the wiring is different from turbo to n/t but you can change it.

i have both cars but the body of the awd was hit and is too messed up for me to repair. Everything else on it is fine. I have the time to change everything for the swap so i think i will.

The engine will fit into the 90 non-turbo if it is the 2.0 L model. However, the AWD drivetrain will not bolt into the 90 non-turbo, because its a front-wheel-drive car.

I believe the floorpans are very different making it basically impossible. Crawl under both and compare.

The 1G FWD and AWD is completely different from each other. All of the 2G's have the necessary mounting points to put the AWD drivetrain in, but the 1G FWD's don't. This has been discussed in another thread, I just can't find it.

please use the search button. This is possible, but it will cost you many thousands of dollars.

Exactly, you would be better off to buy an AWD shell and swap everything over. Actually, you could probably come out cheaper buying a 1G AWG that is is good running condition for what you would put into doing a FWD to AWD swap. It's just not worth the money and time.

Could i swap everything to a 2G eclipse shell?

No. There is no way this could be possible. Sell your fwd. Buy another 1G awd, OR you could always spend 5 grand modifying your fwd to be converted into awd, or 10 grand fitting/re-engineering a 1G awd drivetrain into a 2G. Here are your financially feasible options:

1.) Sell Your dsms and buy a honda

2.) sell your fwd, buy a another 1G awd (maybe a shell with no engine or tranny, I have one available for *free* in the classifieds for example) and transfer your broken awd's engine and drivetrain over to the new car

3.) sell your 1g awd wreckage and keep the fwd
