I have a 1995 Eagle Talon ESi and i am planning on putting a turbo system together over the winter for next summer. I was just wondering what you guys think of my plans. I am about to buy a 1991 Laser RS turbo from my friend for 500 bucks and it runs like total crap so i am probably going to part it out. i have a 14b compressor and i am probably going to put it on the exhaust housing from the Laser.

Anyways, i plan on running a 14b with possibly an external dump pipe for the wastegate(I don't care if it will be ungodly loud). I already contacted HRC and they said they could sell me a stage I turbo kit without their turbo and i just need to contact them when I'm ready to buy.

Also, I will probably use the SMIC from the Laser and the Greddy Type S BOV. I will probably modify the downpipe that comes with the HRC kit to fit to the O2 housing for the 14b. I have a friend that can cut and weld a flange on for me.

Tell me what you guys think of my plans.

well... looks like your set? will your 14b fit the turbo manifold in the hahn kit???

honestly, i think you are set kitwise but what are you doing to your engine to support it? head gasket, lower compression, anything at all? or do you plan on running really low boost levels?

For now i plan on running really low boost levels around 3-4 lbs. I just have to figure out a way to get the stock wastegate to go that low. I don't know if you can put a new spring in the stock 14b wastegate or not. Thats kind of the only thing I'm stuck on right now. I plan on getting a MBC too. I've been meaning to email HRC about the manifold fitment to see if it is the same. I think it is though but I'll find out soon.

i'm pretty sure the intercooler pipes arent the same, but i suppose if you wanted it may be a good starting point?.................. god i wish i had nice normal intercooler pipes
