boost gauge light wiring?

a lot of people end up wiring it to the cigerette lighter "light" here is what I do/did: get your handy volt meter, turn it on. Take your left side of the steering wheel mirror/fog light/cruise control control's out, unplug the harnesses, turn the lights on and start looking for a switched 12volts (once you find a 12v signal turn the lights off and see if your volt meter drops to 0 if it does, thats your 12 volts). you can ground to the chasis or find a ground in the wire pack your testing. Then tap a positive switch 12 volts, and ground to chasis or the ground wire you find :)

edit: oh yea, dont forget to route the wires BEHIND the dash before you solder it :)
