this is such a newbie question, im sorry but im a 1g guy and i have never dealt with this before. A buddy of mine has a 96 N/T and he wants to go turbo, i already talked him out of a turbo kit so dont worry, i talked him into buying a 6 bolt. Whats all involved and what parts am i gonna need to put a 6bolt turbo into a N/T 2g thanks for your help in advance

Since you've already shown you have a stong power of influence over your friend, you may want to further convince him to sell the N/A and buy a turbo car.

In the end it will be much less hassle and probably equal or less money spent, especially when you assess a value to your time, and even moreso if you planned on having a shop do the work.

I do realize that this is not the answer to the question you posted. Hopefully someone will have more detail as to what goes into the actual swap itself. But i think you will find that the general consensus would be to just purchase a turbo car. (also gives you the oppurtunity to pick up an AWD if that's your poison)

A whole new car.

Motor + drivetrain etc...

Not worth it.
 
hmmm, that kinda sucks. I dont think i could get him to buy a different car seeing as how he is a show before go type of guy and the car is all done up the way he wants it, and now he decided to make it fast so i doubt hed sell it and start from scratch but i will see what i can do, thanks for the info guys
