ok i have a 1.8 in my laser and i want to make it alittle faster off the line how do i advance the timing do i do it with the distributer cap or the cam gear?

to make it faster swap out for the 4G63 motor, that will make it faster.

and when you swap out for the 4G63 motor, you questions will become answered. Not really anyone on here cares about the 1.8L motor from what I have seen, and with that being said, good luck on getting any kind of answer.
