Rich at WOT

Hey guys,
I'm having a problem. Whenever I stomp on it. (WOT) I'm running extrememly rich. is this normal? What can I do? I don't have a wide range O2 sensor. I just have an A/F Gauge. I have noticed my Gas mileage is sort of $hitty. Thanks for any help gentleman.

If all you have is a A/F blinkly lite then it could be running normal. Even a well tuned car will read rich at WOT on that "gauge".

Yes. It's how street turbos keep from melting piston crowns and ring lands, which can happen under after about four revolutions of lean.

What can I do? I don't have a wide range O2 sensor. I just have an A/F Gauge.

Then you have no idea how rich nor lean you're running. The DSM O2 sensor is just short of being a binary device, and its job is only to tell the ECU "enough" and "panic".

I have noticed my Gas mileage is sort of $hitty.

Get a slipper for your right foot.

I would look into faulty O2 Sensors for your gas mileage problem, sometimes the CEL won't go on when a O2 sensor fails.
