ok so im rebuilding my motor and im almost done but when i was putting my oil pan on it doesnt match up to the oil pump at all i ordered the oil pump from slowboy and it was for the 7 bolt but it leaves like a gap when installing the oil pan does anyone else ever had a problem like this or knows what to do????

the bottom of the oil pump that seals (connects) to the oil pan is flat and the oil pan is like a wavy shape and they dont fit together without there being gaps between

If it is flat on the bottom, its a 6 bolt front cover. Call sbr and let them know they sent the wrong parts. From what Ive seen, it isnt unusual for them to send out the wrong parts.

It's actually the front case that the oil pan bolts to. The oil pump bolts onto the front case then. Just letting you know so that they don't think your an idiot.

I actually understood what he was talking about and without thinking, I also called it the pump. Well, my post is now edited with the proper terminology. :thumb:

I also knew he was talking about the front case, but myself didn't realize that the mating point was different between a 6bolt/7bolt and the oil pan.

To the original poster, does the front case have the 2 bolt holes to mount the crank angle sensor on.?
