Went and got dyno tuned today

Hey everyone, well i went and got dynotuned today at Turbotrix. They were prettyy nice and kewl there despite what most people say and they were very helpful and informative. Anyways i went in there with about 225 whp on the base run and after tuning and raising the boost on the b16g to 17psi they were able to squeeze 253 whp and 248 ft/lbs of torque. Unfortunately i couldnt raise the boost any higher cause the clutch was starting to slip at that point( stock clutch still). . Im pretty satisfied with it since i got like 25 hp out of it with only like a 2 psi increase, and a much more linear power curve compared to the base run which was all over the place. So i was just wondering how do these numbers look for this turbo at 17psi with the mods listed in the profile. Any commebnts would be great, and yes i am looking into a new clutch, when i get the money of course, is there any that most of you would recommend over anohter, i am leaning towards the act 2100.
Thanks

to be honest, while your tune defintiely made a large improvement, I think you could go further yet with that setup.

But you're in a league ahead of me, I'm still saving for a bov and a logger....and a boost gauge...

well originally we were aiming to get the turbo up to 19-20psi but the clutch just wouldnt take it so we didnt go more than 17psi. But if i could get like 25 hp from a 15-17psi increase im sure the results from jumping up to 20 will be even greater since thats when the turbo is in its prime efficiency range.

Anytime you can get 25 hp from a tune up you're doing pretty good.

I got about the same numbers from my 14B so you should be able to get more out of your setup. Keep modding, logging, and tuning! It's a hot rodders duty!

Sounds like some decent numbers. Good for you sometime soon maybe I can get up there too. My only question was the dyno a Dynojet type or a Rolling Road with a electric or water brake? IMHO if you care about driving your car on the road you should really use a Rolling Road because you can change the engine load while keeping the speed the same. You'll probably be able to get more "useable" speed/torque this way unless it's a drag car then by all means tune with a Dynojet. The only problem is they are difficult to find because of there cost. Anyways keep up the good work. Oh I would highly recommend the the Act 2100 I love it in my car. It will probably add horsepower cause you probably have more clutch slip then you think. I've seen clutches add a significant amount on cars like yours you'd be surprised.

Yeah it was a dynojet dyno, and pretty much the power is mostly meant for the drag strip so i guess that works out best then. Hopefully i can get a good clutch soon and retune it at a higher psi. Im hoping to get near the 300whp mark with the new cluthc and higher psi. Any ideas on where i can get a good clutch for the best price? Thanks guys for the comments so far.
