I take it that he didn't get the senders with the guages? that sucks.

you're going to have to find somewhere to buy the sender units.

you should have just went to summit racing. they've got all kinds of guages you can use for our cars. that's where i got mine. they were descently priced too and came with instructions that were spell checked before they were printed off....LOL

you can call them and see if they'll just sell you the senders.

actually you don't need aftermarket sender units. I know of pleanty of people who tapped into the factory sender units. I don't know about digitial gauges, but all electical gague sending units work on the same principle...

but out of the 3 gauges u bought you will still need sender units for the oil temp(don't know why u bought it if u got water temp gague  ) and volt gauges since there are no factory sender units for those AFAIK....

you don't need senders for a volt guage, what brand are those so we can all avoid them like the plague?

i do have senders, i just dont know where to put them.... i can do some body fixing but whne it comes to the engin i dont know anything..... so where do i put these senders ???????????? and some people told me i have to find "the right wires" i guess for these senders.... these are tinted gauges - they look VERY VERY COOL

ebay tinted gauges

help me out plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

thats what i hate the worst. when i go out and have another porson do my stuff and they dont know what iam talking about or just say no we dont do that... anyone who can read wiring schematics can find any wire in your car.

No kidding, How do you even begin to explane a install to someone who does not know were the oil pan is......Thats not were I installed mine but still the same..."Don't know were my oil pan is"...Grab a Haynes Manual and start reading....Sorry we cant be of more help

Amen bro,In order for us to help you,you have to help yourself by educating yourself over your own car if you really like it.You don't have to be a mechanic, but if a mechanic is explaining something to you you have to know what the hell he's talking about. Most regular shops won't install those gauges because their a pain to do from scratch and the just don't make money from it. go to a high performance shop and they will install them for you,for a price.take some vaseline with you too.If not buy a manual,go to howstuffworks.com,learn how an engine works, learn the parts, basicly eat, sleep, breathe your dsm info.when you have completed all of these, maybe you can install the gauges yourself.

Come on guys,we all started in the same place at some point in time. We didnt just come into this world knowing everything about cars. And if everyone made jokes when first started asking questions.no part of this website would be in existence. Offer the answers, or dont offer anything. I thought this sort of stuff stopped in high school automotive.Anyway, The oil pan is located at the very bottom of your engine. It would be a good idea to pick up a manual though as these cars can be a bit tricky. I suggest you do that before you begin installing gauges. :talon:

FIRST THANKS Joshrckstr

second if i never had a garage or tools and if i dont know where engine parts are it doesnt make me a bad driver or less smarter person.....

i can tell u one thing guys . f.... you

everybody started talking about everything but one one actually is trying to help me with some pics or threads anything .... you guys think you are smart ... - u r wrong.

one word ---------------- shallow --------------------

my car will still have these gauges all i have to do is pay a 100$ ( i will) , but hey i was thinking maybe i will save it and ask for some little help .... -------i was wrong....
i guess i m to stupid and you are to smart talking to me
thanks alot...... :notgood: :notgood: :notgood: :notgood:

Yup, buy a book, it will point you in the right direction. Actually buy alot of books if you are going to be serious about tuning. There are a lot of wrong ways to do what you are trying to do. If you don't understand electrical, you really need to study up on that too. Your oil pan is pretty easy to find though. If you are serious about learning, you have to start somewhere. Heck I started on lawn mowers and tractors, ICE's are all pretty much the same in design. All heat engines of sorts. I tried to find a picture of an oil pan on a 4G63, but to no avail. Sorry man! Good luck!

Yeah, problem with forums are people do not remember where they began. But do not make the assumption that they aren't smart, and it's not in your best interests to throw around insults. I do have to agree with the above comment that if you do not know where your oil pan is, you do not need to be working on your own car. Worst case would be to have you fry your ECU, and that would not be good, trust me. Your gauges would be the least of your worries (and so would your $100). Of course that is worst case, that is why they made fuses and such. Anyways, take all the above advice as best you can, do your homework, and you should be well on your way.

There is a big difference between asking for help or tips and asking for us to give you step by step instructions about how to install these babies plus teach you all the basics......the first is no problem both me and other members gave you helpful comments, but the latter will never happen.

We are here to help each other out, not to teach you everything from ground up.....

You have to realize, most people on this site are experienced tuners, or have been working on cars for a long time. Nobody means to be mean and degrading towards you, however you have to know a few things about cars before you should start modding and tuning them. You should at least have a good idea to the inside workings of an engine (doesn't matter if its a 4g63, 420a, a moped engine, or a lawnmower) Obviously, we all learned somewhere, and you have to start small, so its great you want to install gauges and stuff like that.

The best advice anyone on here could give you... read, read, read, and once you understand, then get hands on.

I agree. I spent my own damn time learning about my car. I read my manual inside and out, and then some. I did my own maintenance and screwed around with stuff just for the hell of it. I'm not going to babysit someone on something that they could read about themselves. Somtimes people are just damn lazy and want to be spoon fed everything rather than experiment and find out for themselves. If you can't even find your oil pan then you haven't owned a car long enough to begin modifying it. When you modify, shit breaks, and if you don't know anything about why it broke, your in trouble.

THATS WHAT IM TALKING ABOUT ... FINALLY SOMEBODY GAVE SOME INFORMATION WITH PICS INSTEAD OF TALKING SHIT, MAKING FUN OR COMPLAINING....

THE PROBLEM IS I DONT NEED BOOST JUST OIL TEMP , WATER TEMP AND VOLT.
BUT STILL.....

THANKS :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:
