The car has started pulling timing occasionally. Mostly on second gear pulls. Datalogger shows me -5 even -6 degrees just before boost hits. This happens only sometimes. When I feel loosing power I let off the throttle and push it again and it goes OK. When cruising it shows about 30 degrees.
This is with stock 2G turbo awd car. What could cause this behavior?

How much knock are you seeing? When the ECU sees knock, it pulls timing.

If the problem is excessive knock, use race gas and/or look into cooling (FMIC, water injection, etc.)

This is a stock turbo 2G so I cannot read knock on my pocketlogger. The gas should be OK. It is 98 octane that we use here in Europe. What makes me wonder is that the car pulls timing only sometimes. I can see horrible timing numbers like minus5 and -6 sometimes! Then when I let off the throttle and push again all is OK!?
