Hi everyone...im stuck up here at school with a pretty decent size coolant leak and i have no tools or place to work on it up here. Very small town also so no car places. I was wondering what options are best to tow it home (50 miles). My friend is trying to come up with a flatbed but if he cant would towing the car home on all fours in neutral be ok ? any info please thanks for time

All wheels on or all wheels off, just like in your manual. Since you can't work on it to fix a water leak, I doubt you could get in there to pull the rear driveshaft to be able to use a dolly.

I had to tow mine once for probably about 20 miles and I just wrapped a tow strap around my frame and attached it to my friend's truch hitch. I sat in my car and manned the brakes, and we both had 2-way radios...if your going on straight backroads like i was, that might work. Otherwise U-Haul rents flatbed car trailers for fairly cheap. I was gonna use that, but I wasn't going very far and I'd have to wait a few days for them to get the trailer in.

Damn, the horror of towing an AWD car! :(

First, find somebody who has a roadside assistance policy. Make good friends with that person.

If you cant, find a U-haul place and rent a small trailer that can take your car off the ground.

Is it lowered? Be sure when you call a tow company that you state that your car is lowered so they can bring ramps or wood blocks.

Here is another important note. If your car is an automatic, be sure to leave the engine RUNNING. The auto trans fluid is cooled by the external cooler. Towing the car (all 4 on the ground if AWD) will cause the fluid to overheat due to the main gear cluster/output shaft turning while it's in neutral.

For a manual it doesn't matter. The manual is designed to be air cooled.

if it was me(maby caus im mexican) i would get a shit load of water and fill it every 5/10 miles

If you were to use a VCE, would you be able to tow a auto GSX (or more specifically an automatic Endeavor AWD) behind a mobile home with two wheels up on a dolly? And if so, which wheels?

vce makes it a fwd so you would tow it with the two front wheels up and it would be fine.
