newbie lookin for suggestions

well yea i am a n00b originally owner of a honda civic turbo, and since my theft imma lookin into other areas. i found a car just right now lookin for some more suggestions on what to do with it. its a FWD laser turbo so far the list of mods i have for it ready are:
DNP manifold
evo O2 housing
20g turbo
tial 40mm wg w/ a 12psi spring
Safc II
walbro fuel pump
HKS elbow peice(forget the name sits on the TB)
FMI
and all the charge piping

now being a honda guy b4 LOL i do like to have some bling and suspension if possible being its a FWD i am lookin for any suggestions on a good brand full coilover, and also what size injectors can i run and also anything else needed to boost bout 18psi on the street.
also what mods cosmetic wise can i do other than the oem wing? i am lookin for the oem stock mitsubishi lip(freind of mine has it) but i wouldnt kno where i to start lookin to buy one. also for exhaust wise i am lookin for a apexi N1 exhaust for this car do they even make one for FWD i have seen for AWD but not for mine :confused: i dunt want a bushur or anything like that i want that bling N1 angled look LOL. any help is appreciated thanks in advance :thumb:

Since I can't afford performance parts I haven't taken the time to memorize where to get them. There are a lot of good vendors sponsoring this site though, Here is a good start.
I also plan to make all of my own non performance mods so I don't know where to find much there.
You will find the search button is your friend, you may find yourself getting flamed a little for asking a question that has been asked four times a week. Plus if you reasearch all those listed sites there shouldn't be many more questions.
Welcome to the family I think you will enjoy modding your new toy. If you can keep it glued together. :D :thumb:
 
Well if you're running a 20G, I would hope that the previous owner already swapped to a larger set of injectors to support that turbo. Other than that, I don't think there's much that you can do to the engine that he hasn't done already, and you can probably run 18 psi as it stands. Just be sure to pick up a logger, give it a try at 18 psi and use the AFC to fine tune the motor and control any engine knock.

I can't suggest any good coilovers since I can't afford a good set of them, but the parts catalog link at the top of the page will point you to suspension parts for your Laser.

I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks this way, but body enhancements, kits or whatever they made never looked good on first-gen DSM's. No matter how badass they look by themselves, once you put them on a 1G, it just never looks right, and you'll have that :barf: look on your face once it's done. With a lowered stance and a good set of 17" wheels and maybe even a CF hood, it'll look clean and not horrendously gaudy. You could try to find the three piece spoiler from a 1G and install them on your car (avoid the spoiler from 1ga talons that wrap around all the way to the mirrors though, those are just hoogly).

And yes, there is an exhaust system available from Apex'i that will fit fwd 1G cars, so you can be styling bling-bling :D with that up-kick to the side look that Apex'i exhausts are known for. :talon:
 
get some 660cc, yes you can custom mold a eclipse 3-pc spoil on ur a laser (looks nice too), Road Race Engineering JIC suspension OR Tein coilovers are the best you can get for your money. Bling is ### :thumbdown go stealth custom make your own exhaust with a stock looking muffler and blow away some V8's. DSMers 90% hate bling and Rice just ESPECIALLY on a 1G (90-94). Just get the spoiler, suspension, and some nice wheels and ur set :thumb:

well i am buying the turbo setup seperate from the car the car itself has 140k on it 205 comp straight across, which i kno is weird. the car has never been beaten there is no shaft play and not a drop of oil on the block perfect! thanks for the info on the styling LOL. as for what sized inectors to use thats what i needa kno and what else should i get also. GM MAF? maybe or will the afc tune better?

Could it have a NA 4g63 in it?

Are you sure it came stock as a turbo? Or could someone have turboed it later?

I am not sure myself but I would check with some people who know what they are talking about before running 18 psi on that thing.
Stock is what 175 180? :confused:

yea its originally a 46g3 turbo LOLz. strange isnt it?

Misunderstanding on my part. I thought all of that stuff was already on the car. 660's will support a 20G. You might want to look at DSMLink which is finally available for 1G dsm's. If your car's engine computer has an EPROM chip (or if you can find one that is available if yours doesn't, look here to find out how you can tell) purchasing DSM link might be a better option, even if it is more expensive than the AFC or MAF/translator setup.

*EDIT* You can go to www.dsmlink.com for more info about DSMLink, but I don't think they've updated their page to include any 1G information yet.
