Ok, is vavoline synthic power steering ok to use for a 98 GSX my manual says for PS to use automatic transmission fluid, DEXRON II, what??? is this right???

ok, thnaks, now what would cause my sterring wheel to be really tight, do i have to bleed it, and how?? it makes a grinded noise at the PS pump

Most power steering fluid on the market is just a very lightweight mtor oil (not a multi-viscosity one).

When my PS fluid was low, I just put some of the normal stuff in it, and then when I checked the manual (duh, should have done that first) I freaked out thinking I was gonna mess up my PS system.

Never happened, though.
