I have a 1991 eagle talon tsi awd, and I need your guy's opininon what kind of fuel pump and what size injectors?

for the pump i juss need to know walbro 155lph or 255 lph,

MY Current mods:
Hks super mega flow intake
custom 2.5 in mandlrel bent exhaust with borla muffler
mbc modification
2g ported exhaust manifold
ebay hard i/c pipe

Soon to be mods:
apex'i n1 3" downpipe
3" testpipe
3" exhaust
Venom fuel rail
small 16g turbo

althought the soon to be mods will be in good time, i will eventually do them, so what type pump and what injectors do you think i should get? also about what 1/4 milw e/t appx should i be at

Walbro/Denso/whatever 190lph pump, and some 660cc injectors. You will also need something to control the injectors with (AFC.)

forget the fuel rail
there are local guys making 500+hp on the stock fuel rail.
get a high pressure walbro 255, safc, fpr and some huge injectors
you'll use the injectors later; buy big/better right away and avoid buying again later

So it seems everybody so far agrees withh the 660 injectors, i believe that is what i will get, but some say 190lph, and some say 255......any input is very helpful, thanks

in most people's opinions they want to go high cc injectors, since high is the way to be... or you will regret it... and need to change them later...

For a s16g

I HIGHLY doubt that you need a high pressure 255 lph fuel pump....

I have a 255 lph for my t3/t4 50 trim... so yeah....

Well typically this is what I would recommend, 255 lph fuel pump, 550cc or 660cc injectors. For a s16g 550 injectors are more than enough if you can get oct 93 fuel... Check out RRE.com. they did all their numbers off b16s and s16gs for their fuel requirements.

And NO you do not need new fuel rails... as many people have said there have been many people who push like 500 whp without fuel rails and your s16g will never go there.

People that are suggesting bigger are doing so because of experience most of the time. Now let me explain...

190lph and 550cc are a perfect combo for a 16g turbo. However if you plan on going bigger later, you're gonna want to swap for 255lph and 660cc. Many people (including myself) always said their gonna just go for a 16g. Then they get bitten by the speed bug or realize every other dsm's got a 16g and they can't pull away from them or the V8s. So they end up spending even more money on a bigger setup where the money could have been spent better on other areas of performance.

Now I understand not everyone wants to be king of the 1/4mi (me either), but experience shows that many wish they would have gone bigger at first and saved themselves from spending twice.

Keep in mind, you may be able to get away without fuel tuning devices (safc, gm maf+t, etc) with 190/550 (I wouldn't suggest it), but you are gonna need it with 255/660.

Also, it's always better to start off rich and tune leaner rather than the other way around.

some good points. i mainly suggest the 255 because it's the same price as the 190. the fpr is a necessity only for the hi-pres 255 (in some cases it is needed even for the lo-pres).
i know i wish i had just gotten the 255, because i acquired a 3000gt vr4 pump and i will have to buy more stuff soon...

The LOW pressure 255 will need an AFPR eventually. At idle it over runs the stock fuel regulator. In all other aspects it can be controlled. This is all from personal experience.

Go larger now, you will eventually want to get a larger turbo if the 16G is not enough for you. :thumb:

hey, thanks for all the advice, im gonna get the 660's like i said before, and ill get a 255 pump, because more than likely, i will end up getting a bigger at some point in time, and ill get some sort of tuning device, so i dont run super rich
THANKS
