Can anyone tell me which one is more reliable, and better to buy. Cause i hear good things about both.

Thats a hard question to answer considering noone knows anything about either one... Most all 1g's are close to the same reliability, but I would say the 92'. They are bothe great to buy, it just depends on what your taste is. Pop-ups or not, 4 bolt or not, 6 bolt or not??? The 90's ecu's, and few parts are a bit different than the rest of the 1g's. If you want that pop-up lighst I would go for a 91, they are more alike and lighter...

early or late 92
some 92's came with a 6 bolt, some did not
i personally like my 90, due to the motor
front mount oil cooler and simple ignition system

Ok, I have a 90, so what engine should I have? And the ignition system is simpler? How is that? My friend has a 93 Talon TSI AWD, but he has the same ignition system. I'm just wondering if my engine has been swapped around or what, because my engine does not look like anyone elses, it has a red valve cover with "Mitsubishi" on the top, and "DOHC 16valve" on the bottom. Everyone elses is "16valve" on top, and "DOHC 2000" on the bottom.

Thats what I was thinking, but wasn't sure. It still has the stock turbo and stuff on it though. Would just the EVO block make my car faster? Because I just pull away from my friends 93 Talon TSI AWD, and his has exhaust and the HKS Super Mega Flow intake. I'm trying to figure this out, because it has me stumped.

Actually, what turbo came on the EVO engine? It says "tdo5" on the turbo housing, and the 16g also came with that housing.
