2G-specific Noob: Need Tuning Advice

Hello all. I have a question. Can someone please give me a step by step on how to tune my car? I have a 95 talon tsi(see profile for mods) and it has a s-afc. the guy i bought it from said he was going to give me his palm to help tune but has yet to send it to me yet. My question is how do i go about tuning the car just with the s-afc or whatever else i need to use. Im going to the track tonight so need answers soon. Please help. thanks.

Don't use the prostreet tuning guide. They say some stuff that is wrong, and in general don't do it right.

Use the guides on this site:

Definitive Piggyback Tuning Guide

Tuning Guide for the Beginner to Intermediate Tuner

How the SAFC Works

You really should buy a datalogger before you try to tune, it will make it much easier and the car will run better.

i just ran last nite and it pretty much sucked...best i got was a 14.9 shouldnt the mods i have(14B turbo set at 19psi, 550cc injectos, s-AFC, 255lpm fuel pump wewired, injen intake pipe with K&N filter, greddy BOV, greddy IC piping, catch can, act 2600 clutch, underdrive pulley 2.5 dp, hi-flo cat, 2.5 greddy cat-back exhaust, lowering springs) put me in to the 13s? the guy i bought it from said the best he did was a 13.7 but he had slicks and 22psi on 110octane. WHAT is wrong?!!?? i know my cars prob a lil warn out with 156,000 miles on it. would a 16g make me a difference? or what about the starion FMIC? worth it?

Learn how to drive it before you mod anymore. That is what really gets you good times.
