Im from sioux city looking to get my block machined, I need to get my block align honed. Im just looking for a reputable shop that ppl use/ have used to get their 4g63 blocks machined there.
Thanks for the help

Do you by anychance know if they can align hone the main bores? I called arnold motors supply up in le mars yesterday to see if they can align hone the mains for me, the guy said bring it up so he can take a look at it. But I will deff give southside a call on monday and see what they say. Thanks for the help!

From what I understand not too many shops if any in the area can align hone a DSM block. Something about them being too small and/or something with the main girdle on 7 bolts. I had two buddies here in Omaha that had to send there's out. One to Cali and I'm not sure where the other one was.

I found one around here thats only 30min away. The guy works @ arnolds motorsupply machine shop up in Le mars. I talked to him he said he could do it so I am gonna give him a shot.
Thanks for the help guys

I didn't know Chad did machine work.

X2, I'm pretty sure this guy is talking out of his a**. It would not even be worth the investment of the equipment for him to buy.

Anywho, I'd try Bill Vice and see if can do it.

He sends his to bills machie in CB IIRC... if not bills i think it's daily's or something. I got the number written down some where if you're still in need, and i's tru, there's only one shop and it'sout of omaha that can properly lign bore the mains on a 4663, hell i had to have a motorcycle shop called Robertson cycle do some of my 4cylinder car work.. He's ben building drag bike inline 4's his whole life and knows a lot of "bike tricks" that make a good change in the performance of your car's 2 litre 4 banger... he's the only one that can repair the race head i have with scorn journals at the cams and that's of everythign between council bluffs and omaha... he's located on 90th and F, i know the guy really well so if you want osme one to go with you to amke sure you're not viewed as "a kid with money to burn" i'll go with you and just let him know that you know me, i recomended him based on price and quality and he'll do you better than jsut walking in off the streets...word is he's quite the dick to new customers and i can remember my first 5 visits or so until he realized i was friends with all his old racing buddies, since then he's taken absolute care of me in ways most shops won't do for anyone but close friends so i could probably ge tyou hooked up, hell he even leaves me alone with all his precious shim boxes for shimming valves on motorcycles and then if i've got to get rid of one and he's low on it he'll just trade me...cant tell you how much cash this guy will save you once he knows you're coming in a lot, are not stupid and do have cash to spend with him... if you just go in and ask and don't spend he gets sick of ya real fast because he's so busy and being a business owner myself i can completely understand how you have to be to make money and not waste it by talking to some one who's never going to bring you work because i think all us small bussiness guys ahve to deal with it quite often

PM me

From Sioux City and looking to fix up my 90 Laser turbo next year with some tax money. Where should I go and what do you think I should do first?
